While we make every endeavour to ensure that our event goes ahead, we are in the hands of the weather. And due to obvious safety reasons, we will not attempt to hold this event in adverse conditions. But if weather is marginal, we may hold a shore based meeting and other events with a view to rescheduling water based activities on subsequent days. This event is not a commercial venture and we do not charge any membership fees, and therefore cannot accept any liability for losses of any kind that might be incurred either during the event or as a result of cancellation.
It is the duty of every participant to check the event will go ahead and determine their level of participation based on their own abilities. All attendees should ensure they have 3rd party liability insurance of £1,000,000 as a minimum. Whilst we will make every effort to provide information to assist your planning, it is up to you to arrange accommodation, travel and launching of your own vessel.
We hope that we can all assist each other in the unlikely event of any difficulties, but please don’t assume there will be someone on hand to help.
